Neil Davis

Mr. Davis was born in Lafayette, Indiana, and graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School. Neil enrolled in the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University, graduating in 1993 with a B.S. in Management. He obtained his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1996 and interned at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office while enrolled in law school. Neil is an owner of Davis Sumerford Dietz in downtown Indianapolis, where he has practiced law for the last 20+ years. Mr. Davis has extensive litigation experience focusing his practice on the areas of construction site injury, construction defect, personal injury, wrongful death, assisted living and nursing home liability, insurance coverage, insurance fraud, complex litigation, fire and electrical losses, liquor liability, negligent security, premises liability and specialty lines. He has represented insurance carriers, business clients and individuals for over 25 years. Additionally, Mr. Davis is a certified civil and family law mediator. Neil is actively involved in coaching and refereeing soccer, as well as competition shooting sports including USPSA, Steel Challenge, Multi-gun, Sporting Clays and IDPA. Mr. Davis was previously involved with Reach for Youth and its Teen Court Program, a juvenile diversion program for first time offenders. He has participated in the Ask-A-Lawyer Program, a voluntary program to offer pro bono legal services to he public at large. He has worked previously for several years on the church security team as a volunteer. Neil has been recognized repeatedly as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star by Law & Politics. Neil and his wife, Jana, reside in Whitestown with their three children where they attend New Hope Christian Church. They have been involved for several years supporting KCEA in Africa to further the education and other life needs of young women through scholastic, water well, and transportation programs. Neil enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing and the outdoors in his spare time.
