Andy Sumerford practices in the fields of general civil litigation, and focuses on estate planning, probate, and real estate matters.  Some of his representative clients are contractors who often need enforcement of their legal rights.  In an attempt to share some of his experience, he participates a couple of times a year in continuing legal education speaking engagements for National Business Institute.  He likewise has a modest amount of appellate experience, with a few such cases having addressed important principals of negligence jurisprudence in Indiana. 

            Andy’s undergraduate education took place at Indiana University, graduating in 1996 with a B.S. in Finance.  After taking a couple of years to work, he returned to school to pursue a law degree, graduating in 2002 from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis (today the I.U. McKinney School of Law).  While still in law school he clerked for the firm, and has been practicing here ever since. 

            Andy and his wife Heather have been married for twenty years and have three children.
